Welcome to Superior Blooms, Duluth’s freshest floral shop! I am the owner, Mariah McKechnie. Ten years ago, my mom and I started arranging flowers out of the back of my minivan for weddings on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We enjoyed every moment working together to bring floral magic to our client’s weddings and special events. In 2019, mama Sharron retired, but I continued to collaborate with a team of designers to bring the freshest floral perspective to Duluth from our studio on Superior Street. Under my direction, the Superior Blooms studio creates artistically forward, yet classic, floral pieces that reflect a client’s vision. We aim to “nail it” every time, and pride ourselves in spending time with clients to truly “get it.”
In 2023, we welcomed our new Studio Manager & Lead Designer, Alissa Boythari, to the team. Flowers have been in her life from her earliest memories, as her grandma was a florist at Duluth’s former Peterson-Anderson Floral - next door to our new location! Fate brought her to us and we are SO excited to work together to create the most memorable floral experience for our clients.
